Tragedy for the NOPD: Officers swarmed to a house in the 5100 block of Touro Street this morning to find one of their own inside, dead of a gunshot wound. The 36-year-old female officer, who has yet to be identified, had been on the force for 9 years. The death is currently unclassified, as homicide detectives take the lead in the investigation.
