Good evening
Even those of us who consider our mental health to be in pretty robust shape will have felt the strain of lockdown. Whether you are working from home alongside your children, have been furloughed, or are retired, your life will have been turned upside down in some way. Here at the Post, the desire for news and information has been keeping us busy trying to ensure we can bring you everything that is happening across Lancashire to keep you up to date. And we hope to have given you a smile or two along the way by telling you about some of the amazing community-spirited actions that have been going on all around us. But even so, these are tough times and we need to look after ourselves and those closest to us. So, even if you believe your health and mental health are in good shape, don’t be afraid to reach out for help if you start to wobble. Let’s face it, most of us have felt like crying, screaming or both at some point during the past six weeks. There’s no shame in that. Help is out there. Take advantage. As the Prime Minister confirmed in his daily press conference this evening, we are passed the peak and there is now light at the end of what has been a very long, dark tunnel. Until next time, look after you and yours. Gillian Parkinson Editor |
