Car thefts, attempted thefts continue plaguing Lakewood: Lakewood Police Blotter
A woman left work at 9:48 p.m. on Dec. 19 from a store on Detroit Avenue near Andrews Avenue and discovered that her parked car was missing. Left nearby was another Kia with the engine running and a broken window.

Man makes threats when complaining about six-week-old salty ham: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter
A Honey Baked Ham employee said Dec. 23 that a customer called to complain about a ham that was too salty. She said the ham was picked up Nov. 11 and when she told him that she could not do anything for him without a receipt, he and his son screamed and swore at her.

Woman accused of pistol-whipping ex-boyfriend after finding him with another woman: Westlake Police Blotter
A man phoned the Westlake Police Department at 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 to report that he had been pistol whipped by a former girlfriend outside the Shell gas station on Crocker Road at Clemens Road.

Suspected OVI driver knocks down electric pole: North Olmsted Police Blotter
Officers at 8:13 p.m. on Dec. 9 responded to a report of a silver SUV crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of Clague Road and Maple Ridge Road. The SUV was heading southbound on Clague Road and failed to negotiate a slight turn in the roadway before striking the utility pole, according to a police report.
