Picasso Horror Art! What are investors and collectors REALLY putting their money on? Last week we saw some Eye Poping record prices paid for choice cinema posters and memorabilia. . First, a 1935 Cut Pressbook for “Bride of Frankenstein” sold for over $22,000. AN Uncut example sold for $34,000 in 2016. Pressbooks were sent to theater owners in the heyday of local movie theaters to promote the movie posters, lobby cards and Heralds that were available for purchase. In this Rare Classic Horror Treasure was a page advertising the 1935 “Bride of Frankenstein” Herald, which we currently have TWO of. See these Gems Here . Another Record that was set was for an "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein” lobby card set of Eight. The price paid was over $8200, which far surpassed the last time a set was sold for about $6400 about ten years ago. In case you want to check out our Abbott & Costello Collection, see HERE . And a big surprise was for a “North by Northwest” French Poster that sold for $20,000!
