Tuck into Selfridges' mouth-watering new winter menus |
| | Let the feasting begin! | | Festive favourites get a modern update and a few futuristic newbies make an appearance amongst Selfridges’ seasonal offerings | Before the big man in red glides in bearing gifts later this month, Selfridges has prepared an extra special (and extra delicious) early present. They’re putting on a veritable feast throughout the sprawling store on Oxford Street, which looks pretty much nailed on to delight every one of your senses. This is your chance to go on a culinary adventure of the store, exploring the new winter menus at the almost 20 restaurants and bars. Here are some highlights. Stop in at The Corner on level two, where they’ll be mixing up Christmassy cocktails, including the Champagne Supernova. This medley of pear vodka, elderflower cordial and champers is served on a futuristic LED coaster. Fancy. You can find further festive libations on the lower ground floor at Harry Gordon’s Bar & Kitchen, where you can sip on an alluring concoction called Old Future, which is inspired by the new Vinca Petersen book, ‘Future Fantasy’. And if you want to stay for a bite to eat? The Harry Gordon’s crew is putting a fancy twist on seasonal faves like turkey sliders, pigs in blankets and mince pies. You can also enjoy Pear Tree Punch at The Fount Bar (ground floor), sweet treats at the art deco café Dolly's (lower ground) and a healthier alternative to your usual Yuletide stuffing at the Hemsley + Hemsley café (level three). That’s your festive season well and truly started. Cheers! | |
