In the 1980s and ‘90s, Reynaldo Rivera photographed house parties, underground queer clubs, and concerts in the predominantly Latinx neigborhood of Echo Park and downtown Los Angeles. The images beautifully document a Los Angeles that no longer exists. Some of these images are part of Made in LA 2020: A Version, not yet open to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions.
