The cost of fending off hackers: After Louisiana school districts were hit with a crippling cyber attack in 2019, Gov. John Bel Edwards’ administration formed a task force to respond to such attacks, much like we do with hurricanes and other natural disasters. But the cost of such efforts is ballooning, particularly with the recent data breach at the Office of Motor Vehicles.
