Louisiana workers are still quitting at record levels; 'it's a great time to move'

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Good Monday morning, Acadiana. Let's get down to the business news to get your week started.

This quit thing is turning into more than just a phase. More than two years after the COVID-19 pandemic first pushed the reset button for many workers’ careers, Louisiana’s workforce is as mobile as ever.

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data, 440,000 Louisiana workers have voluntarily left their jobs through July, the state’s highest total for the first seven months of the year since the bureau began tracking the data in 2000.

Should the trend hold, the state could once again break its record for quits in a single year.

You can read the story here.

Have a great day and see you back here on Tuesday.
