The beer was flying in the fourth inning when Will Furniss, the son of LSU baseball great Eddy Furniss, no less, blasted a three-run home run off Tigers ace Paul Skenes. The Rebels led 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth. A half inning later, LSU's Tommy White told those same Rebel fans, "Hold your beers." Back on campus, LSU softball opened its weekend series with Mississippi State with a dominant 7-1 victory at Tiger Park. Down in New Orleans, former LSU golfer Ben Taylor was trying to emerge from the shadows in the Zurich Classic, and LSU's Alumni Gold track meet is going on Saturday at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
