Then, early Friday night, someone shot her multiple times in her car on Government Street, killing her. The death left friends and family reeling. And it has Baton Rouge's mayor calling for an end to the violence, saying she will work with the city's universities to find ways to make sure students stay safe. Even in the Gulf of Mexico, it's considered bad form to dump 900,000 dead fish. But it seems that's what one boat did when it got overwhelmed by a surprisingly huge catch of menhaden.
