It's a day for the wearing of the green, and thinking of all the green you're going to win when you win your NCAA Tournament bracket, right? Proabably best to just count your cash on hand right now, but it doesn't mean it isn't time to get excited. We're on the verge of the two best sports days of the entire year with the first round of the NCAA men's tournament. The action for LSU gets started Friday when the Tigers open Midwest Regional play against Iowa State in Milwaukee. Our Sheldon Mickles helps you get more familiar with LSU's coach for the Big Dance, interim coach Kevin Nickelberry. By the way, Nickelberry makes it six different coaches in LSU's last six NCAA Tournament appearances. This story lays out the particulars of this remarkable stat. The NCAA Women's Tournament gets started in the PMAC Thursday night with Florida State taking on Missouri State in the inaugural First Four for the women. The winner moves on to play Ohio State here Saturday, while LSU takes on Jackson State. Meanwhile, a big-time recognition has come LSU point guard Khayla Pointer's way. Everything is happening right now. Not just basketball, but the LSU gymnasts are headed for the SEC Championships on Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.
