Vermilion County, IL

40 years of farming and never been surveyed by NASS. Never have heard neighbors mention this either. From what I see watching news out of Washington DC, it’s not unreasonable to suspect that manipulation occurs and false info is put out. As someone else said, it should be possible to figure yields by using the crop insurance database instead of fooling around with guesstimates. One local elevator has made ground pile for years. Didn’t need it this year. Southern half of county fared better than north. 5 inches of rain this month, so plenty wet starting new year. Good luck to all in 2020.
