HOUSE Biennial is Brighton and Hove’s curated contemporary art event, taking place from 30 September – 5 November 2017. Responding to the theme of excess, five artists present work across the city, alongside a programme of films and events. Renowned British artist Laura Ford reveals a new series of sculptural works, A King’s Appetite, responding to the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museums’ collections. Timely Tale, by Natasha Caruana, co-commissioned with Photoworks, features personal and politically-engaged lens-based work on the tyranny of choice. HOUSE and Outside In co-commissioned artists Anthony Stevens and Andrew Omoding’s radical textile works are brought together under Common Threads, and a collaborative, multi-media narrative of community project, Cross Over Point, is presented by Becky Warnock and Brighton Table Tennis Club. |
