Red kettles have hit the streets across Minnesota and North Dakota, and the cheery ring of little bells has become The Salvation Army's battle cry. When our volunteers pick up a bell, they join an army of loving people just like you who want to see good happen in their community. The Salvation Army relies on kettle donations to serve more than 340,000 people in the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota, and North Dakota. Right now, we need you – yes, you! – to volunteer at a kettle in your neighborhood. Volunteer bell ringers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $30 per hour – enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries. It only takes one two-hour shift to make a difference. Whether you are looking for a new family tradition, or just want to give back with the gift of your time, bell ringing is one of the simplest ways to help others. |
|
| Search bell ringing locations near you to find a date and time that fits your schedule. Volunteer shifts are typically two hours long. You can choose to volunteer alone or invite friends and family to join you.

| The red kettle has been an American icon for 127 years. Aside from “Ho, ho, ho!” and several Perry Como songs, perhaps no other sound says Christmas more than the ring of a Salvation Army bell.
