Make No Little Plans returns the show to November 10, 2012, for a performance of A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. With special guests, Grammy Award-winning baritone Nathan Gunn, author and public radio quizmaster Peter Sagal, and sultry Southern chanteuse Lera Lynn. Plus, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors (Sue Scott, Tim Russell, and Fred Newman; trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso, clarinetist Kim Cusack, and our good friend Butch Thompson join The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band.

Highlights include Pat Donohue’s “Enough of My Love,” Butch Thompson’s take on “In the Dark,” duet versions of “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” and “When My Morning Comes Around” with Lera Lynn, Nathan Gunn crooning “The Parting Glass,” plus Peter Sagal sitting in on scripts for The Lives of the Cowboys, Guy Noir, and SFX. NATHAN GUNN

Metropolitan Opera baritone Nathan Gunn has appeared in renowned opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Paris Opera, and the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. He is also a professor of voice at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, his alma mater. At the piano: Julie Jordan Gunn.

Peter Sagal

Peter Sagal’s career has included stints as a playwright, screenwriter, stage director, actor, extra in a Michael Jackson video, travel writer, essayist, ghostwriter, and staff writer for a motorcycle magazine. But public radio listeners know him best as host of NPR's hugely popular quiz program, Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me!

LERA LYNN

When Lera Lynn was about six, it suddenly occurred to her how to sing harmony. From then on, singing became a constant pursuit. This Nashville-based, Georgia-bred singer-songwriter has made her mark in the music world and amassed a following with her haunting voice and award-winning compositions. American Songwriter magazine wrote that that she can “write a damn good song ... she can also tell a damn good story.”

Prairie Home HOLIDAY with Garrison, Heather and Rich
