The first debate in Davis County on Friday was pretty mild, with little difference between the candidates. The second, in St. George on Saturday, was more contentious, as the two tried to create separation between themselves. Questions about Donald Trump's multiple indictments and his actions on Jan 6, 2021 dominated the Q&A portion. Becky Edwards, the other GOP candidate in the primary, said via her spokeswoman that she would not be attending her opponent's campaign events. The ambitious debate schedule was set up by Maloy.
