Man uses salt spreader to get away with stolen goods from Giant Eagle: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter
Officers responded Dec. 18 to a report of a man who stole Red Bull, wine, and other groceries from Giant Eagle. They located him in front of McDonald’s, drinking from a wine a bottle and with a grocery cart and a rotary salt spreader filled with stolen merchandise. He was also in possession of drug paraphernalia commonly used to smoke crack cocaine.

Beachwood police issued a warrant for a Shaker Heights woman seen on Beachwood Place mall surveillance video picking up from a table a bag containing merchandise a man had purchased. The man had set the bag down momentarily while making another purchase.

Drunk man causes SUV crash on Ohio 237; drunk woman yells & gets arrested: Brook Park police blotter
Police arrested an intoxicated Medina man Dec. 4 after he became involved in a two-sport-utility-vehicle crash on Ohio 237 southbound at Sheldon Road. Also, an intoxicated Parma woman was arrested Dec. 7 after she started yelling in the parking lot of a Sylvia Drive apartment building.

Cleveland Clinic police report possible assault at village group home: Gates Mills Polic Blotter
Cleveland Clinic police reported Dec. 16 that a resident had been brought into one of their facilities for an appointment and reported possibly being assaulted at a group home in the village. They indicated that there was no visual evidence of an assault, and the matter could be due to a change in the woman’s medication.
