A recent survey by KPMG finds that 64% of employees say their quality of work is up and 70% say collaboration has improved amid the current pandemic. Managers, though, are having a tougher time adjusting -- compared with their staff -- with 67% reporting that their work is more demanding now and 63% saying work is overwhelming.
Indiana is in the process of reopening its economy, and businesses must take their time and make data-based decisions to protect employee health, writes Eli Lilly and Co. Chairman and CEO David Ricks. "Our path forward is to gradually speed up -- in a way that will allow us to go faster as we carefully monitor progress with data," Ricks writes.
The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission last week issued guidance on how employers should handle employees who have medical conditions as they return to work amid the coronavirus pandemic. The guidance outlines how to apply the Americans with Disabilities Act to these scenarios and replaces guidance released earlier that week.
