Port selling Daniel Island property

The S.C. Ports Authority is selling a 104-acre property on the west side of Daniel Island that it has owned since 1997. The property was a proposed site for a container terminal that ultimately never happened, according to port leadership. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

Greenville Tech names director for bachelor's program

Greenville Technical College has hired the person who will lead the first bachelor’s degree program offered at a two-year college in the S.C. Technical College System. S.C. union membership rate remains lowest in U.S.

South Carolina had approximately 47,000 union members in 2019, 2.2% of the people employed in the state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is half a percentage point lower than in 2018, despite an increase in employment in the Palmetto State. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

SCMA names 2020 Roger Milliken Defender of Manufacturing award recipients
