Weston Inc. purchased Carolina Industrial Properties, a 57-tenant, 5.5 million-square-foot group of industrial properties previously owned by Reger Holdings LLC. The portfolio includes properties in 16 S.C. counties. (Columbia Regional Business Report)

BMW top U.S. auto exporter by value for sixth year

BMW Manufacturing is the country’s largest auto exporter, when measured by dollar value, for the sixth consecutive year. The Spartanburg-based plant exported $9.6 billion worth of vehicles last year, sending 246,014 X-models out of the country. (GSA Business Report)

Spartanburg among finalists for electric vehicle plant

A site selection company working for a Canadian manufacturer of electric vehicles says Spartanburg is one of seven possible locations for an assembly plant. The proposed new facility would employ up to 200 people and include a technical engineering center in addition to the assembly plant. (GSA Business Report)

REMBE Inc. locating U.S. operations in Lancaster County

The operational safety company’s $3.4 million investment is expected to create 22 jobs. The Indian Land facility will serve as the company’s home office and is expected to be online by December. (Columbia Regional Business Report)
