Volvo plans to reopen plant Monday Volvo Cars is planning to reopen its Ridgeville plant on Monday, almost a month later than it initially planned. The company closed the production site on March 26 because of the coronavirus with plans to reopen April 14. Volvo extended the closure, however, to protect the health of employees. A company spokeswoman did not provide further details about the reopening plans. Volvo employs approximately 1,500 people at its Berkeley County plant. (Charleston Regional Business Journal) |
