We’re excited to welcome your young artist to Kids@Museum CAMp 2025! Each CAMp offers a fun and imaginative space for kids to explore art, work with local teaching artists, and discover the museum’s exhibitions. Campers will dive into painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more—embracing creativity and self-expression in every session.


CAMp Details:

🎨 Ages 5-8 & 9-12: Half-day sessions in June, July & August

🎨 Teen CAMp: Half-day sessions in July

🕘 Session times: 9 AM-12 PM or 2-5 PM

💰 Cost: Members $160 | Not-Yet-Members $190


Spaces are limited, and sessions fill quickly!

Resiliency@CAM: Community Day

Saturday, March 15th

Programs and Admission are FREE from 10 am to 5 pm.

Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and learning as we celebrate the many ways the arts can support resiliency in children and families!


Cameron Art Museum, the New Hanover County Resiliency Task Force, and community partners from across our 8-county region come together to offer interactive art activities, performances, and resources that highlight the power of art in building a strong and resilient community.


All activities are designed for all ages and abilities, making this a truly inclusive day of discovery and expression.

EVENT SCHEDULE:


📖 10–11 AM | Storytime & Art with Jane Smith

Meet author and illustrator Jane Smith as she reads Teddy’s Bear Takes a Tumble. Afterward, join an interactive activity inspired by the story. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

🎭 11–11:30 AM | Creative Play with Turning the Wheel

Engage in a fun, movement-based experience for all ages! Turning the Wheel’s Creative Play Pop-Up invites participants to explore spontaneous movement through playful, non-competitive games—accompanied by live music!

🖍️ 10 AM – 5 PM | Novant Health Coloring Station

Stop by the Novant Health resource table for a fun coloring activity, featuring pages, fans, and crayons. Kids can also participate in a table activity for a chance to win NH prizes!

🎨 12–1 PM | Gouache Painting with DREAMS Center for Arts Education

Join DREAMS apprentices for a hands-on gouache painting activity, where young artists can experiment with vibrant colors and creative expression.

🖌️ 1–2 PM | Veterans Creative Arts Program

Create meaningful mixed-media artwork while sharing your story through writing and art. This program encourages personal expression and reflection in a supportive space.

MARY'S ART EXPLORERS

with Miss Ashley

THURSDAYS 10-11 AM

CAM Members: $5 per adult/child

Not-Yet Members: $10 per adult/child

Children Ages 2 & Under: Free


Mary's Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us. Your registration includes admission to the museum for the whole day.

Space is limited, so preregister to guarantee your spot!

How to Catch a Leprechaun

Join us in the Pancoe Education Building as we read How to Catch a Leprechaun by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton.


After the reading, participants will create a colorful craft. This is a great opportunity for the whole family!

MEET MISS ASHLEY!

Miss Ashley comes to CAM from Cleveland, Ohio. Ashley has been a classroom teacher and an educator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland. Ashley is a proud aunt to three nephews and one niece. Her favorite activities are building sandcastles and taking walks at

Long Leaf Park.
