| Index futures are headed lower to kick off the week's trading action. S&P 500 futures are down 0.6%, and Dow contracts are currently showing a 0.9% loss. Flight to Safety The S&P 500 closed with a weekly loss for the first time in 3 weeks as a top-heavy market and rising valuations dampened investors' appetites for stocks and other risk-on assets. Bond yields tumbled as bond prices shot up. Distribution yields on the 10-year US Treasury note fell to 1.249%, their lowest levels since mid-February. It could be a signal that investor sentiment is taking a downward turn. |
