CB Consumer Confidence data (a vibe check w/ consumers)
March JOLTs Job data (how many job openings were there in March?)

Wednesday:

US Q1 2025 GDP data (did the US economy grow in Q1?)
March PCE Inflation data (aka: household goods inflation)

Friday:

April Jobs Report (data tracking number of jobs added, unemployment rates, average hourly earnings, and hours worked per week).

Combine these data points and you can start to answer the following:

Is the economy growing, are businesses hiring, what’s the average cost of living, how much are people earning, and how is this affecting their outlook?

BITCOIN IS THE CAGR KING 👑

Remember how – for the first time ever – your uncle Steve won the ‘Gold vs. $BTC’ argument at this year’s family Easter gathering (thanks to gold’s recent strength)?

And in a moment of shock, you – a 34 year-old man – reverted to childish retorts and yelled “SHUT UP STEVE, YOU’RE NOT EVEN MY REAL UNCLE!”

(Earning you a whole bunch of sideways glances from your extended family.)

No? Just me then. Cool, cool, cool.

Well – I’m not letting it happen again. Next time, I’m going in with rock solid data at the ready.

Ok, now – here’s how we can use this information to slow any of Steve’s future rolls…

Wanna know how well an asset class stores/grows value over time? Check its compound annual growth rate (CAGR) – the higher the CAGR, the faster the growth.

And over the last 5 years, Bitcoin’s CAGR has sat at the top of the food chain, outperforming Gold’s CAGR by more than 4x!

But no, you’re right, I hear you…

CAGR is probably a little too ‘in the weeds’ for Steve – this is the man that thought credit cards worked the same as gift cards, until debt collectors came knocking at his door.

In simple percentage returns, the ‘$BTC vs. Steve’s favorite assets’ scoreboard looks like this:
