MARKET UPDATE: Dow, S&P 500 Notch Fresh Record Highs Ahead of 2Q Earnings

It was a record-setting day on Wall Street Tuesday: The Dow and S&P 500 set fresh closing highs as investors pushed Brexit concerns aside and braced for second quarter earnings season. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 120 points, or 0.66% to 18347, while the S&P 500 gained 14 points, or 0.70% to 2152. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite rose 34 points, or 0.69% to 5022, erasing its 2016 losses.
