Landscape, Art, and My Existential Crisis There aren’t many landscape architects who can claim rock-star status. Martha Schwartz is one of the very few. In “The Long and Winding Road: Landscape, Art, and My Existential Crisis,” Schwartz will discuss the trajectory for her practice – now in its fourth decade – and then turn to how she is pressing the profession to confront the most important issue of our time: the climate crisis. Schwartz’s lecture will focus on her “second career” – in academia and beyond – of encouraging others to take on the aim of achieving climate stability. |
