Fat Tail Daily

Dear Reader,

The COP28 summit in Dubai has provided marvelous entertainment,’ wrote Greg Sheridan before markets closed last year.

It has illustrated the complete fantasy of so much Australian climate policy and debate for the past 20 years.

None of this will be news to you if you’ve read our extensive dissection of the subject: Greg Canavan’s explosive new book, Not Zero.

Genre-wise, it’s part fantasy.

In that Not Zero is a clinical takedown of a fantastical and doomed decarbonising policy.

But it’s also an investment book.

A sort of genre mashup!

We are currently mailing copies to anyone who requests one.

But we’re nearing the end of the print run. And we won’t be doing another.

If you want to get your hands on one of the last copies, go here.

The premise the book supports is fairly simple.

There is no way we’re going to eliminate fossil fuels and hit the golden emission reduction targets set out for 2025.

It’s a pipe dream.

The big energy producers know it.

(According to the Energy Institute Statistical Review for 2023, fossil fuels still make up 82% of the world’s energy. Roughly the same amount as a decade ago.)

Even governments that proclaim these goals publicly know deep down they’re baloney.

The only ones in the dark are climate activists.

But I’d bet even some of them are starting to see the writing on the wall.

However…

Not Zero isn’t solely deconstruction of the net zero agenda.

It’s a book that shows you how to get on the right side of the investment equation

…before reality finally sinks in for everyone.

Greg presents you with some relatively simple investment moves you can make with your own capital if you wish to adopt this contrarian position.

And it is certainly contrarian.

You’ll need an open mind.

But I believe you will benefit greatly from reading it, no matter where you stand on this controversial issue.

This is why I’ve authorised a small print run for our subscribers, where we make no profit to speak of. (All you’ll pay is a few dollars to offset our printing and mailing costs.)

I think, if you get Greg Canavan’s Not Zero…read it carefully…and distribute it to your friends and family (we don’t mind if you do that), you might look back on it in 10 years’ time as one of the most important investment books you ever came across.
