Masked suspects in Kia with no license plate flee police: Lakewood Police Blotter
An officer at 3:44 a.m. on June 18 attempted to stop a black Kia without license plates on Clifton Boulevard at Manor Park. Four occupants in the vehicle were believed to be male and wearing ski masks, according to a police event report.

Concerned resident calls police over dog’s disheveled appearance: Russell Township police blotter
Appearances do matter. After receiving a complaint June 23 that a dog appeared to be unkept and disheveled, Russell Township police investigated. Officers met with the dog owner who verified that the dog is an outdoor barn dog and is well kept as such. The officer checked on the dog and determined it appeared to be in good health.

Driver crashes into pole, charged with OVI: Westlake Police Blotter
Callers at 2:45 p.m. on June 14 reported a crash in the parking lot of University Hospitals on Clague Road at Detroit Road. Officers discovered that a 56-year-old woman drove her Mercedes into a pole, causing disabling damage to the sedan.

OVI suspect arrested with suspected crack cocaine: North Olmsted Police Blotter
A man was arrested about 8:30 p.m. on June 14 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and he was found to possess suspected crack cocaine, according to a police report. An officer observed the suspect’s car run a red light on Great Northern Boulevard at a high rate of speed and almost strike another vehicle, according to the report.
