SpaceX is aiming to launch the 400-foot-tall Starship on Friday

SpaceX is targeting Friday morning for the second crewless test launch of its Super Heavy rocket and Starship spacecraft, collectively known as the Starship.

Packing a colossal 17 million pounds of thrust, the launch is sure to be spectacular, though hopefully this time the Starship will make it to orbit instead of exploding in midair a few minutes after lift-off, which is what happened in April.

NASA will be watching the mission with interest as it could one day deploy the reusable flight system for crewed voyages to the moon, Mars, and beyond. It’s already inked a deal with SpaceX to use a modified version of the Starship spacecraft to land two astronauts on the lunar surface in the Artemis III mission, possibly in 2025.

Google offers tips to avoid a 'holiday headache'

The web giant has analyzed data from 20 U.S. cities to reveal how to avoid the crowds during the Thanksgiving break

Google has dug into its trove of data gathered from last year’s Thanksgiving holiday to come up with advice that could help you enjoy a stress-free break.

It says, for example, that the best time to hit the road before Thanksgiving is “typically Monday or Tuesday around 8 p.m. local time,” adding that you should do your best to avoid driving on Tuesday or Wednesday at around 4 and 5 p.m., “as that’s typically when Thanksgiving traffic hits its peak.”

It also offers tips for those brave souls planning to head out for a spot of Black Friday shopping and reveals the quietest times to visit places like grocery stores, bakeries, and post offices. Our only concern is that if everyone follows Google's advice, it may not be so quiet after all ...

Surprising details just leaked on Intel's upcoming 14th-gen laptops

It looks as if the MSI Prestige 13 will be the most affordable machine starting at $1,049

One of the first laptops powered by Intel’s upcoming 14th-gen Meteor Lake CPUs has been spotted online, and based on what we’re seeing, the prices look surprisingly affordable.

A social media post by long-time leaker momomo_us disclosed information about the expected CPUs and key specifications of the laptops.

Among MSI’s lineup of work laptops featuring Meteor Lake CPUs, the Prestige 13 and 16 are the first ones identified. The leak also mentions the CreatorPro 16 Studio, as well as popular gaming SKUs, the Stealth 14 and 16, although specs for these were not provided.
