May 23, 2025 | Today’s news and insights for manufacturing leaders NOTE FROM THE EDITOR State and federal regulators continue to grapple with how to bring more oversight to the use of PFAS in U.S. manufacturing. At the state level, New Mexico passed a law banning PFAS from most consumer products. At the federal level, the EPA opted to grant manufacturers more time to begin reporting their use of forever chemicals, extending the compliance date to October 2026. We’ve been monitoring these updates, as well as how companies are working to effectively destruct PFAS and how manufacturers are preparing to comply with stricter laws. In this special edition of our newsletter, we’ve rounded up this recent coverage taking a look at the state of PFAS in U.S. manufacturing.
