Good afternoon,

James Mawhinney, the boss of failed investment scheme Mayfair 101, has been charged with four counts of dishonest conduct in a dramatic escalation of a long-running stoush with the corporate regulator.

Woodside has hit back at CGI Glass Lewis, saying the proxy adviser’s opposition to the oil and gas giant’s climate strategy and chairman Richard Goyder’s re-election is groundless and relies on statements from green activist groups.

A day after Qantas unveiled its new Classic Plus product in a bid to appease frustrated frequent flyers, a Citi financial analyst suggests the airline is banking on only a fraction of the 20 million seats being redeemed.

Gains by iron ore miners helped the Australian sharemarket advance for the second day running, with the ASX 200 up 0.5 per cent to 7824.2 points on Tuesday. The broader All Ordinaries also rose 0.5 per cent to 8081.2 points.

The Big Read

The transition from childhood to adulthood often encompasses a significant milestone: moving out of the parental home. In recent years, there has been a notable shift in the traditional trajectory of young adults leaving the nest and establishing independent lives.

Many young adults choose to stay longer at the parental home. This delay in the transition to independent living is not merely a personal choice but carries significant implications for both individuals and society at large.
