NARVESON | Staff writer Moving forward: After months of uncertainty, leaders from East Baton Rouge City-Parish and the City of St. George have begun to make progress towards a long-awaited agreement on the new city's future. On Thursday, East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome spoke to members of the media about a proposal sent to St. George officials, which would offer an allocation of funds to fund the state's newest city. Less than a day before, members of the St. George Transition District passed a resolution authorizing a possible lawsuit against the city-parish over tax revenue. Read the latest.
