What You Need to Know House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. McCarthy claimed Biden profited off his son Hunter Bidenâs business dealings with foreign entities, and that Biden gave his son and other family members âspecial treatment.â In 2019, McCarthy said the House must âintend to hold a vote of the full House authorizing an impeachment inquiry,â or it âwould create a process completely devoid of any merit or legitimacy.' He did not hold a vote yesterday. All of Utah's delegation, minus Chris Stewart who did not respond to a request for a comment, support the investigation. All GOP presidential candidates also support the inquiry.
