Click here Saturday, 15 October 2022 MEDIA ADVISORY World Health Summit 2022The World Health Summit 2022 will open on 16 October in Berlin with a ceremony at which the WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will be joined by German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Presidents of France and of Senegal, as well as other high-ranking dignitaries. For the first time, World Health Organization (WHO) is a WHS co-organizer. Over 300 speakers are expected, coming from all regions of the world, among them more than 40 WHO experts, who will share their knowledge, views and vision across various WHS formats. The Summit aims to strengthen exchange, stimulate innovative solutions to health challenges, position global health as a key political issue and promote a global health conversation in the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From 16-18 October 2022 participants will debate topics such as the architecture of pandemic preparedness and outsmarting pandemics, beating non-communicable diseases , a new lens at global health financing, sports and health , health in times of war and crises and health for peace, health and care workers, cancer control, innovation in global health communications, women and child health, polio-free future, the role of parliamentarians, amongst others.
