One Inch Dreams - Our most daring users

One Inch Dreams is a group of incredibly brave (and possibly slightly crazy) athletes who hold several World Records for slacklining - that's like walking on a tightrope, only it's not tight and slightly wider. They recently completed an amazing project called "Building Bridges", where they walked between two hot air balloons in Monument Valley to promote US-German relations. The result is a treasure trove of beyond-beautiful photographs and videos - all archived with Archiware P5!

How to use LTFS in P5 Archive

LTFS formatted LTO tapes are a great medium for transporting and exchanging large files, with a capacity of 12TB per tape (uncompressed) in the latest LTO generation, LTO-8. In P5 version 5.6, we added the new LTFS import/export feature requiring no additional driver or software, allowing users to easily mount, read from and write to LTFS tapes within the P5 user interface.

P5 now on NETGEAR ReadyNAS

Simple, inexpensive NAS boxes are widely used for storing and sharing data used in day-to-day business operations. And since it is so important to keep that data safe, Archiware P5 is now compatible with NETGEAR ReadyNAS devices, so they can serve as a P5 Client or even as the P5 Server. As of today, P5 is available for download from theNetgear Appstore.

Speaking of NAS devices: P5 can also be installed on QNAP and Synology!

Case Study: TV Aparecida, Brazil

Step-by-Step: Cloud Import Services

With the release of P5 Version 5.6, Archiware P5 manages the transfer of large amounts of data to the cloud using import services such as Amazon Snowball and Backblaze Fireball. To help you get up and running with this new feature, experienced P5 trainer David Fox of JPY has created a handy step-by-step guide that takes you through the process.
