Mary Jo is known for her foster puppies, but she also has a 15-year-old pet frog that evidently has a serious personality. An amphibian expert calls these imports variously bombastic, ridiculous, delightful and hilarious. Frogs are amazing. When our kids were young, we used to laugh at the cacophany of frogs singing and croaking on the rocks outside our cabin; they would actually keep us awake. Alas, no more. The expert tells Mary Jo that "43% of the world's amphibians are already documented as extinct." It's a shame; after all, who knew that frogs were so much fun?
