Meet Carter
A Grades of Green Eco-Leader

As Carter will tell you, he’s been involved in Grades of Green for nearly half his life. At Grand View Elementary, Carter joined the school's Grades of Green team. The Grand View team set out to do something amazing, they wanted to ban single-use plastic bottles at their school!

Their project was so successful that Grades of Green awarded the team an Eco-Grant to further sustain their project. The team used their Eco-Grant to install a hydration station at Grand View so that their classmates could fill up the reusable bottles that the team had inspired them to use.

But the team didn't just stop there. For their spring project, the Grand View team went in front of their school board. The team put together such a convincing argument that when they returned in the fall, all five elementary schools in their district had "banned the bottle!"
