| Debbie became a milliner – a person who makes women’s hats – by happy accident. A couple of years ago, she and a friend were going to a KOR (Mobile’s Knights of Revelry Mardi Gras organization) reception, and her friend said she wanted to make her own fascinator. “I started putting things together,” she recalls. “It was fun and easy for me.” She started studying online tutorials and books to teach herself the basics.
