Dear Reader, For years, we’ve been dreaming of a truly great, photo-driven cooking app where it’s easy to search for recipes and plan meals right from your phone. And now, just in time for Thanksgiving prep, I’m delighted to share that we just launched our brand-new Epicurious iOS app. With over 50,000 recipes, the app contains not only all the recipes from the Epicurious archive, but also the entire archive from our sister brand Bon Appétit, a vast number of beloved recipes from Gourmet magazine, and recipes excerpted from cookbooks we love. And, as if 50,000 weren’t enough, we’ll be adding new recipes all the time. Here’s what else I’m excited about: The app allows you to personalize your experience. Is your family vegetarian or gluten-free? No problem; select your dietary preference and get customized recommendations. Looking for a dinner party dessert and want only Gourmet recipes? The app can do that too. Not sure what to cook and need some inspiration? Check out our Editors’ Picks. Plus, search recipes by season, cuisine, and cooking method, or use weeknight-friendly filters for options like sheet-pan dinners, dishes you can cook in 30 minutes or less, and one-pot meals. I’ve already started saving recipes like Yotam Ottolenghi’s Sweet Potatoes With Orange Bitters for my Thanksgiving menu. Executive editor Sonia Chopra tells me she’s been browsing the app for festive cheese board options like Za’atar Fire Crackers and Pistachio-Sesame Cheese Balls and digital director Maggie Hoffman is sharing recipes right from the app with everyone who asks what they can bring to her celebration. We’re positive the app will help you find cooking inspiration. If you’re already a subscriber, it’s included in your subscription—simply head to the app store to download the app and login using the email address associated with your account. If you’re not a subscriber, what are you waiting for? Stay tuned for even more exciting developments to come. We’re just getting started. Wishing you a delicious, filling, and fulfilling Thanksgiving,
Dawn Davis
