Revenge of the Nerdettes!
When teenage boys on a co-ed robotics team told the girls to sit in the corner while they did the fun stuff, the girls said no way.
“They didn’t even like to hear what we had to say,” Emily King said. “I was like, ‘That’s not what we’re here for. That’s not why I did robotics.’ ”
The spunky girls formed their own team called the Nerdettes which competes head-to-head with boys in robotics competitions.
