U.S. Reps. Chris Pappas (D-NH) and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) are asking fellow House members to sign a letter calling on Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to hold Turkey accountable for supporting and facilitating the operations of Hamas. The letter demands that Turkey close the Hamas office in Istanbul, legally designate Hamas as a terrorist group, expel its members, and revoke their citizenship. For over a decade, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has created a safe haven for Hamas members, many of whom were involved in terrorist acts in Israel and released in prisoner exchanges. Turkey has been called the second largest base for Hamas outside of Gaza, hosting Hamas’s military wing in Istanbul since 2012. From there, the Hamas command post launders money through Turkey’s financial institutions, trains Hamas jihadi operatives, and coordinates the infiltration of terrorists into Israel. You can help bring an end to this alarming partnership. Click the “Take Action” button to call on your member of Congress to sign the bipartisan Pappas/Bilirakis letter. Care to do more?
