Good morning, readers.
My social media feeds consist almost entirely of vintage guitars, American Traditional tattoos, babies using profanity and these weird AI-generated videos of dachshunds cooking, so I’d missed out on the viral “Man of the Year” trend, where women are calling attention to some of the worst things dudes have done to them, until our own Joanna Sommer pitched me this piece about it.
We’re not talking, like, coming home a little drunk after a day of golf. We’re talking, for instance, about a guy making an EDM remix of an emotional voicemail his girlfriend left after finding out he’d been cheating on her. There’s some truly crazy stuff in there. Let it serve as a lighthearted reminder of what women have to put up with. (And please, spare me the response about how they’re “just as bad” or whatever — let’s just look in the mirror for a moment, shall we?)
