| | |  Mi 22.11., 19h Raum D / Q21 Das Molyneux Problem Im Rahmen ihrer Residency im September 2016 arbeitete die Dramatikerin und Regisseurin Katharina Schmitt an einem Projekt, das sich mit Träumen blinder Menschen beschäftigt. Ausgangspunkt ist eine Interviewreihe, die Katharina Schmitt mit Menschen geführt hat, die blind auf die Welt gekommen sind. Daraus entstand der Text "Das Molyneux Problem", der 2017 mit dem Komponisten Michal Rataj als Koproduktion des ORF und des Tschechischen Radios als Hörspiel umgesetzt wurde.
Tranzit, ORF und das Q21 präsentieren eine public listening Veranstaltung dieses Hörspiels in Anwesenheit der Regisseurin Katharina Schmitt und der SchauspielerInnen Jaschka Lämmert und Rafael Schuchter. | | | mehr | | |

rejecta is a game design manifesto against all the traditional forms and types of video games, offering instead a new set of practical guidelines for creating games that would appeal to those traditionally turned off by the medium. This set of rules and objectives involves the content, the design, the length, the controls, and the role of the player, and assesses distribution models while also present new ways to organize work in game creation.

Mistreated and modified electrolytes operate as the fragile root of an audiovisual tree whose only purpose is to provide multi-second bursts of electrical instability (jingles) that can be later transcribed into sound, light, word or symbols. Russian electrolytes as reliable poetic dynamos, the great capacitor plague of 1997 and diode micro performances are also possible topics of investigation during the performance that requires 10 degrees increments in temperature, wet fingers and chance. | | | mehr | | |

It includes a series of media elements that combine and recombine over time -- 3d images, 2d stills, generative audio, generative media "landscapes", generative text and video components. The work has a series of internal rules that play out different combinatoric strategies as drawn from an extensive database of architectural topologies and processes. In particular the work includes a series of allegorical time-based images of computers as well as collaged images from the history of the computer and computational history in general.

Haus, part I: Covenant of the Tongue Als Artist-in-Residence entwickelt Karen Werner für die TONSPUR_passage eine Folge ihrer Sendereihe Strange Radio, die sich mit Krieg, Vertreibung, Fremden und Holocaust Postmemory auseinandersetzt. Haus, part I: Covenant of the Tongue ist der erste Teil ihrer zweiteiligen Klangarbeit über das Haus ihrer Familie in der Novaragasse im 2. Wiener Bezirk. Die Arbeit verknüpft Stimm- und Meditationsübungen aus der Kabbalah, der mystischen Tradition des Judentums.
