| March 28, 2022 Minnesota is rolling out a new at-home COVID rapid testing program, as it phases out mail-order lab tests this week. The long-standing program to mail tests out to Minnesotans to then send back for lab analysis is ending Thursday. The state will now offer at-home rapid tests instead. Gov. Tim Walz announced his administration had obtained a half million two-test kits that will be available starting Tuesday. Information will be available at mn.gov/covid19. The change comes as the daily average of new cases has dropped by more than 95 percent since a peak in January.
