Staples lays off 177 after few months under new owner

Staples laid off 177 workers in January who are eligible for financial benefits because their jobs were deemed lost because of increased imports, according to a legal notice.

Medfield brewery looking to expand in MetroWest

Zelus Beer Co., based in Medfield, is looking to expand to Central Massachusetts. The running-friendly brewery is opening a pop-up taproom in Ashland for two weeks next month, including for the Boston Marathon.
