TJX profit up 17% but disappoints Wall Street

TJX saw net income rise 17 percent in the third quarter, hitting $641 million, on a sales increase of 6 percent to $8.8 billion, the Framingham retailer announced Tuesday.

George Sakellaris, the president and CEO of Framingham-based Ameresco, has been appointed to the Northeast Clean Energy Council. Sakellaris, who founded the solar and energy efficiency company in 2000, is one of four members to join the Boston-based council, which advocates on behalf of clean-energy companies.
