She has been exploring the expression of women over time, oftentimes finding inspiration in a simple word or a phrase from one of her magazines. "My work is layered as WE are layered. There is a history in the process, as there is a history in our lives - in our becoming. It is transitional, ending in a moment, beginning in another moment. Whether I am painting or collaging my approach is slow and gradual, and travels from the simple to the complex. I love exploring the female face and figure and the energy and emotion they transmit. I see my reflection in these figures and faces. I find strength in the community of women which surrounds me. I hope that others can look at my work and perhaps see a glimpse of themselves.
