Note from the ACDIS Editor | First 2021 CDI Journal focuses on diversity, inclusion in CDI | by Linnea Archibald This past year has brought to light many of the ills of our society, highlighting needed changes on almost all levels of healthcare, societal norms, and issues of social justice. Together, we look in the rearview mirror with a collective sigh, a sadness and exhaustion deep in our bones. While we welcome 2021 with mountains of uncertainty, the previous year’s closing allows us a time to look back, assess where we’ve strayed and where we’ve succeeded, and make adjustments to our course to direct us toward a better, safer, and more just world in the year to come. |

| Blog Highlight | Do you have a tip, story, or perspective to share with the broader ACDIS and CDI community? If you’re interested in writing a piece for the Blog, here are a couple guidelines for you: Length: Typically, 500-700 words. If your post is longer, we may break it into two posts for readability. Content: All things CDI (and coding too)! We love hearing about your experiences and the lessons you’ve learned about CDI along the way. Besides those two guidelines, all you have to do is submit your piece to ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) and Associate Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org). | |
