"Older Fishing"
IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE that more than five years have passed since poet and novelist Jim Harrison died. But then one of the gifts of phenomenal writers is that they leave us with work that stays valuable far past their lifetimes. With Harrison, who loaned both weight and levity to fly fishing, that is certainly the case. Even his short pieces like "Older Fishing," which we are happy to call attention to again this week, are proof.
