"Raindrops keep falling on their heads" was the title of a story featured on the front page of The Canberra Times on this day in 1976. Roof repairs at a Department of Defence building in Campbell Park were understood to have been delayed because of new policy on government purchasing. People in parts of the building worked underneath umbrellas, and others assembled plastic sheets to catch water which poured through the roof in wet weather. READ MORE
